UTS Graduate Guido Tapia (BSc Computer Science / BA International Studies 2002) has used his software development skills to create an innovative new product which could revolutionise how companies build their websites.
Guido, who cut his teeth writing software for online gaming, has created a product for PicNet which tracks the user's mouse movements as they look at a website.
'The Mouse Eye Tracking tool was born out of a small web design project we did. The customer wanted real feedback about how users were using the system. So we built a tool that would record visitors' mouse movements and using that information we could analyse how best to improve the web pages. The product has since become a solid enterprise system that is used by some of the largest websites and government departments in Australia.'
